IAMP Young Physician Leaders 2011

The IAMP Young Physician Leaders Programme was launched in Berlin on 21 October 2011.Following a call for nominations from the IAMP member academies, 60 young physicians  were  evaluated by  a selection committee and 22 were  invited to attend. (Final List of participants)

A leadership workshop was organized in Berlin hosted by the Berlin Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities.  The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Jo Ivey Boufford (IAMP co-chair) and saw the participation  a leadership panel which numbered several members of the IAMP Executive Committee.

During their stay in Berlin the YPL also had the opportunity to attend the World Health Summit where they were  invited to participate in various  sessions, including one  organized by the SIGENET(Sino-German Network on Public Health and Bioethics -SIGENET Health). 

A group of IAMP YPL 2011 submitted a LETTER article to the Lancet   describing their experience and its potential value in their professional lives.
