Effective healthcare institutions need effective leaders.

To contribute to building capacity in this area, the Young Physician Leaders (YPL) programme was launched in 2011 in partnership with the World Health Summit (WHS) and the M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centres and Medical Universities.

To date, we have  trained 132 such YPL, all of whom are top young professionals, under the age of 40, who were nominated by their national academies.

Their details can be found in the dedicated YPL Directory

Over 60 candidates were nominated for the 2017 session which will be held in Berlin from 12-17 October.
