Joint Statement "Antimicrobial Resistance: A Call for Action"

One of the important roles that IAMP can play within the health arena is to facilitate the preparation of international statements on important health and health related matters of global significance.

We are therefore pleased to present a new paper, developed at the request of the IAP-global network of science academies, on the issue of Antimicrobial Resistance.

Because health is the defining focus of the IAMP, the IAMP Executive Committee sought the expertise of a specific working group regarding the core relevance of the document charging the group to develop recommendations and/or revisions to this document. The resulting document, a Joint Statement from both IAMP and IAP, “Antimicrobial Resistance: A call for action” has been drafted and endorsed by a majority of the  IAMP and IAP membership.

Please follow the links below to down-load the statement and the press release. A forum is also available for member academies  to provide their comments.

Translations have been very kindly made available by various members of IAP and IAMP including  those from China, India  and Japan.
