Njabou Katte, Jean Claude

r Katte works as a Medical Doctor under the Ministry of Public Health at the Bafoussam Regional Hospital. He is the Head of the Diabetes and Hypertension Treatment Center. 

Dr Katte is also a Postgraduate research assistant under the Graduate Training Program of the University of Yaounde 1. He is attached to the Laboratory of Biotechnology and Public Health Research of the Biotechnology Center. 

Dr Katte is also a Research Assistant with the Health of Populations in Transition (HoPiT) Research Group where he is the current Study Coordinator of the H3A Diabetes Study for Cameroon.

Dr Katte works as the Clinical Quiz Editor for the Pan-African Medical Journal. 

 

• Dr Katte has been working since 2011 has a Medical Doctor at the Bafoussam Regional Hospital and very involved in the fight against diabetes and other Non-Communicable  Diseases at the primary care level. He pioneered the  creation of a diabetes and hypertension treatment center at the same hospital.
• During the past years, he has managed several hospital-based projects and currently serves as the study coordinator of the H3A Diabetes Project (a multicenter study in sub-Saharan Africa) in Cameroon under the HoPiT Research Group.
• He holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) Degree from the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University of Yaounde 1. He is also currently undergoing graduate studies in Public Health Biotechnology under the Biotechnology Center of the University of Yaounde 1. He lives in Yaounde, Cameroon. In his free time he reads, plays the piano and enjoys spending time with family and friends. His special relaxing method is to listen to music.
